Intentions vs Expectations: Yours and Ours
When stepping into an experience beyond your comfort zone, setting an intention can provide a sense of grounding and direction. What need do you hope this journey will address? What insight or transformation do you seek? You’ll have the opportunity to craft intentions at the retreat and we offer guidance for doing that.
An intention is different from an expectation. Intentions are open to endless possibilities; we express what we seek and are receptive to whatever answer appears and the form it takes. An expectation is limited to one possibility: the answer we want in the way we want it. The first is a thing of Spirit and the heart, the second a construct of the finite mind. The distinction is important.
Plant medicine and your spirit work with the heart making the possibilities fluid and infinite, whereas the mind is not structured for fluid and infinite. A good approach is to set an intention, drink the medicine then free the intention trusting Spirit to answer in a way that resonates with you. Be aware that the form the answer takes may well be the message.
Surrendering to the process requires trust: trust in yourself and that wee voice whose call you heeded; trust in the medicines from Mother Earth and trust in your fellow travelers with whom you are united in every way that matters.
The intention of Team Bluestone is to create a space where in we may work with Ayahuasca in curated isolation and absolute safety sustained by the Divine frequencies of Love, Light, Peace and Gratitude. Our rezo is unwavering trust in Spirit, in each other and the sacred medicines of Mother Earth.
Our expectation is that everything changes and everything in every moment is perfect.
